While there is much a do about the name for the largest firms, we define as MktCap above $1T for at least a year of the past 10 years (since 2014). As recent as summer 2024, only six firms. As of Jan'25, Tesla & Broadcom joined them. So too are Bitcoin and Berkshire Hathaway, but they are queens until proving staying power above $1T.
This group is a concentrated bunch. Suffice to say 25-35% of the SPY index. Apple, nVIDIA, Microsoft, Alphabet, META, Amazon. AN-MAMA, but sometimes Ma-Na'Ma. Hey it's my Nama!
